ther’s a manual by Hooper and Phillips that shows a trident mark belonging to Caughley co in SHropshire in the 1700s but this piece seems more modern. thanks

If its really from that time period I think its valuable, however I think you have to know the painters and their style of painting, hence my earlier question about this.
I will take your word on hairline cracks cause i know damage makes a huge deal in fields I am more familiar with. HOwever on this really old stuff I am not so sure. I have seen stoneware go for hundreds of dollars with minor chips and such, they seem to take that in stride in that field. This is why I did not bid on the piece in question the hairline crack had me concerned.
