I do not normally collect pottery, though this was a find in an old barn down in central Florida. I will let the photos speak for themselves. The colors on the piece are an intertwining of blue & green. There are figures on the side of the piece, not sure what the symbolize. The bottom of the piece is not colored, appears to be color of clay used. It is stamped with what appears to be a letter “A”. Can anyone date this piece, it appears amateur and not a retail piece. I am not sure if it is antique, Native American, perhaps central/south America? I have no idea. Was an impulse buy cause thought it looked neat. I would be forever gracious if anyone had any information regarding this piece. This is my first post, as I just joined this forum. I have done months of research to no avail. It is approximately 4.5 x 4.5 inches.

A studio is a small pottery as opposed to a factory.
It may of course be a “student” piece but students, if they mark, usually do so with their name rather than a symbol. However it may just be a kiln mark.
