Yeh I’ve read that companies mostly stopped using real gold plating when new cheaper options became available to recreate the desired look so it could even be that it was too expensive to create each set with the gold if they weren’t selling enough.

I know the gold ones are obviously worth more but the newer one is so much prettier! I love the mother of pearl look to be honest so I can totally see that being way more popular.

Thats possible !! Often if a pattern is not doing well they will change it a bit so more to the buyers taste !! They do not change the mold just the artwork !!

Yes I found out it’s CZJZEK Pattern. The link I posted has a listing that tells me a little more but searching the pattern on google, I can’t find it anywhere else. That’s why I think it couldn’t have been a very popular design…although they do appear to have made a new design with a mother of pearl look instead of the 22kt gold plating.

Do you know the pattern name ?? If not,, you might want to use the replacements .com website pattern search to find it !!
