May I ask why you think that this item requires authentification?
We see the old (pre-1900) eagle mark being used with the (post 1905) circular ‘Made in Germany’ addition, however finishing an item after it had been shelved for a while is no big thing. A few producers cover everything from three to ten years ‘shelf time’, sometimes even resulting in a new base mark (the new company mark covering a previous version). So there’s nothing unusual here.
A friend of mine gave it to me for my Birthday, I thought it was beautiful and was curious because it had the Makers Mark, as well as the numbers on the bottom, it also has 2. CC’s imprinted on the bottom. Just curious about it. I am trying to learn a little about Collecting and Identifying different things. Thank you. Where would I look to find out more about it? I would just like to know how old it might be
