They could be as early as 1930`s but so many of the styles overlapped and combined its almost impossible to guess !! They have a look more Hollywood Regency,, than Art Deco !! But could be either era !! Asian inspired items were popular in both and then again a resurgence in the 1970`s !! One thing I look at with all pottery/ceramics is the foot of the item as most experts do !! The foot is the unglazed area on the bottom !! You ask does this item show the wear/dust/grime/age consistent with sitting around for 50 years or so !! Was unsure about these !! I know many say well,, they were never moved or the house was very clean ect,, but that foot is very absorbent and will collect dust or whatever is floating around in the air !! Had these been a different type I would have said the were made much later than 1940`s !!
The link has two that are similarly made !! The base and the head portion are made in two pieces and the metal conduit connects them with a nut at the bottom !! Imagine this set without the gold base or lamp fixtures and you have something similar to your lamp bases !! They may have been in the process of re-wiring your lamps and just never completed the project !!
