I need help trying to identify this Chinese vase. This is a beautiful slate blue glazed CHINESE POTTERY VASE with large crackle pattern. Is this blue a CELADON GLAZE? The vase measures approximately 7 1/2″ high by roughly 4 1/2″ at the widest point. It has a small 1 3/4″ opening with a rim that is 3 1/8″ across X 1/2″ before it tapers down to a slightly narrower neck. There is a row of large and small nodules that encircle the top area of the bulbous body and ends in a 2 1/2″ diameter X 1/2″ high footed base. The glaze is a beautiful shade of blue with a large darkened crackle pattern. By using a jeweler’s magnifier or loupe we can actually see hair-line cracks in the porcelains surface glaze along the black lines.Though the pottery vase itself is uncompromised, there are a couple of what appear to be small surface fractures to the heavy glaze. Any information regarding this vase would be greatly appreciated. Type of Glaze, Age, Region it may have come from, style of the vase or pottery if any? Thank you so much in advance.
