I’m new to this website and wondered if anyone could please give me some pointers as to how to establish more about this little tea caddy. The glaze has a few little pin prick indents, and the pot is fully glazed on the inside. Sadly it doesnt have a top. The height is approx 4 ins, without the top. Many thanks in advance.

Your little tea caddy is probably mid century or after !! I do not see much age on the bottom !! The unglazed feet will, over the years, collect dirt and dust and darken as time goes by no matter how many times it is cleaned !! You can be the best housekeeper in the state and it will still show age !! From the 50`s through the 70`s tons of items came in as imports !! Like yours most had only a stick on label and no mfrs name on the bottom !! The pin prick indentations are simply from the firing process and occasionally occur when there is air trapped in the clay slip !! That says the caddy was likely done in a hurry !! People do like these just as decorator items !! You should find several different types on ebay !!

Thank you for your reply, I’ve looked on EBay for some while but nothing similar has cropped up hence my email. Thank you for your suggestions. I will keep looking.
