:S good evening! Quick question. Im somewhat fond of japanese porcelain but new to the pricing and marks area because if its visually interesting i buy it without thought of resale value. unfortunately my better half seems concerned im wasting that one dollar or 50 cents at a yardsale when i know its worth every penny. If you can give me any info on this vase and this mark, i can give her the “I told you so” and continue collecting. It is a white vase with gold trim and a bird trimmed in gold on a grapevine. (just gold on a white vase) seems to be three tiny handles, if you will. Two at the bottom and one at the top. Noritake, i believe, has the green M surrounded by a wreath. This is a wreath with a three leaf clover in the middle and japan underneath. Red ink, no stickers. I have some occupied japan pieces but im curious about this vase. Any ideas?

Hi Tony, Your vase was made at Nihon Yoko Boeki Co. between 1921-41 and keep picking up these items as they are becoming highly collectable. People are finally beginning to realize that item’s from Japan are 60 years old and older. I see many antique dealers bidding on Japan items especially red stamped items.
