We have a Delinieres & Co. jar in our collection. The makers mark reads “D & Co”. According to what I’ve found online its a Delinieres & Co. Limoges porcelain. But what I can’t date is when it was made/sold. According to our records it was hand painted by the husband for his wife in a memorial (which I don’t think is correct, the husband died before the wife, but that’s a research topic for another time). The records also call it a “rose jar”, but I’m guessing that’s because there are roses painted on to it. My question is, can anyone tell me what year a vase like this would have been made/sold? Would the husband had bought a blank in the 1930s? Or would he have bought it already decorated and our history on the jar isn’t accurate?
