I am attaching pictures of a vase that I found in an antique store a few years ago and am hoping you can give me some information about it. I don’t know if it’s old or just looks old. Someone suggested maybe late 18th or early 19th century but was not sure about it at all.

The vase is 12“ tall by 8” wide at handles and weighs 5 pounds. The handles do not have holes for your hands. The inside is clear glass (core glass?)which is attached to the inside of the vase. The outside is white with what looks to be a transparent, maybe a light green, glassy glaze except for the base which is white, unglazed with no markings I can see. The figures go around the vase as in procession and are different all the way around. They also seem to be carved instead of pasted but it’s hard to tell. Some of the detail is faint and I’m not sure whether it used to be different colors or was always white. The field behind the relief figures has diagonal lines which are cut into the ceramic. It had some chips when I bought it but it didn’t take away from the beauty of it in my opinion.

After a couple of years of research, I’ve concluded that the relief looks to be that of the Dionysian Festival procession which includes figures of the Goddess Cybele on a lion-drawn chariot, maenads and musical instruments among others.

I really love this vase and would like to know more about it. I haven’t found anything close to it any where and am hoping you know who made it, when, and approximate value. I have more pictures if you need them
