Hello everyone, I found this forum when trying to research this wall pocket I have. I have come across some similar looking ones, but none that were exactly the same. There is no markings on it at all except for the number 1214/48A(or 43, maybe 49) and then Japan underneath that.

I’m hoping someone can give me some info about it. All I know is that it might be from the 1950’s

Thanks!

From the way it is written I think it is the date,, the A would probably be the decoration indicator !! Unless you can find another and match her,, there is little way to tell who made it !! It would have had a sticky label with the name but it is long gone !! Excellent you saved her,, wallpockets are really pretty popular collectables !! Search ebay every week or so,, someone may list one like her !! I would just search “pig tailed wall pockets”
She may turn up eventually !! Look for company names on similar ones then look at that companies selection of Pig tailed wall pockets !! Hope you find her !!

Thanks for your reply! Does the 49 mean the year it was made? I admittedly don’t know anything about this stuff lol Any idea who made her? I found some similar ones online made by Enesco, but they weren’t exactly the same. I saved her from the trash and would love to know more about her as I think she’s just adorable 🙂

Sorry to take so long,, your post kept going down the list !! It is most likely a 49 but could be earlier !! Late 40`s and 50`s many young girls (me included) wore the Annie Oakley pig tails !! She was on TV and was quite popular on the Saturday morning line up !! While the hat is not typical nor do I remember a red bow,,she wore a bandana around her neck as well as I can remember !! So this is of that era but not intended to actually be her !! Oh,, forgot to say she was a sharpshooter and is well known in the history books !!
