Found this gorgeous girl at an antique store today, and I’d love to find out where she came from!

Probably 1:12 scale, extremely detailed and realistic. Handpainted dapples, eyes. Store owner says that the man she bought this from said it came from Austria, but no other information. No maker’s mark. Breathing hole on the underside.

I’ve tried searching European pottery companies that did figurines, but nothing’s coming up.

With out a makers mark or label no way to know who made it !! And lacking those things one can assume it was made for export !! Those dapples are done with something similar to a stencil !! I have two dapple gray mares as well as a few others,!! The dapple pattern does not look like that except on ceramic horses !! Irregardless of its accuracy it is quite well done and worth keeping !! There are so many horse figurines that even a guess would not be helpful !! These were quite popular during mid century !!
Unless the seller was the one who took the stick on label off ,, no way he would know if it was made in Austria or not !! However Austria, Germany, Bavaria had many glass and ceramic producers so it could have been made there,, but he or she was guessing !! Or maybe it sounded better for a sale !! Please tell me that $295. was not the sale price !!
