Hi All,

I found this unusual figural bank at a thrift store in New Jersey. At first I thought it was a teapot, but then realized it was a bank with a slot at the back and a rubber stopper in the base (rubber has hardened). It is quite big, standing 11″ tall.

It has no markings and I haven’t been able to find any information on it. Please could you review the images and advise? I’d love to know the origin and age.

Thanking you in advance for any info!

The one you found on Etsy said it had a mark on bottom but the pics had been removed !! Her opinion was 1950`s and as I said mid century is about right !! Looking at the bottom it is relatively clean and that is usually the area that will show age !! There is no wear to the paint on any of these that I looked at so 1950`s or after is what I would date it !! Gut feeling is that they may be newer than that !!
