I was with my mother when she purchased this porcelain pot 50 years ago.
It measures 12″ long. 7 1/2 ” at the widest part and 6 1/2″ tall. The only mark is a L in script under the glaze.
There are 2 holes (for drainage?) in the base.

I would very much like to know more about it.

Well done except we have 2 pictures the same and both rather little small so I can’t see any detail. The optimal size is 499 pixels on the largest side.
I was hoping to see one of the base.

Did she buy it from new ?
The L could be Limoges though this isn’t typical of their stuff but they did do a wide range.
It could also be something else.
It;s not a typical shape for a cache pot which would definitely not have holes !!!! A salad drainer would have more holes than 2. It must be a plant pot !How big is it ?
Does the underplate match ? That would be for catching the overflow though I’d expect it to be a little larger.
