I need help in identifying this style gas station give away dishes from the 1960s. I have inherited two cabinets of them, including all accessories, such as teapot, suger, creamer, etc.
They are orangey brown with cocoa brown bands and the dots are off white. Any information would be appreciated, afterall if I am owning two cabinets of dishes I should at least be able to talk about them. Thank you. Thank you for your reply. They are more like pottery. The plates have an empty feeling rather than heavy. They have DONNER TOPFEREI stamped into the pieces. I googled topfereis in Germany & Austria and found a large community making both pottery and ceramic. These are not ceramic. I scanned all 250 pages on ETSY as well as went to the webpages previously mentioned and have found no pattern to match these. It isn’t a major thing, not needing to know value, would just like to know how pottery from Germany entered the gas station premium market in Flint Michigan in either the 60’s. Would be cool to see a piece of it on any webpage. Thank you again for your reply.
