My friend has inherited a room full of china (in Queensland, Australia). One set is a full dinner service complete with servers etc. I am more computer savvy and offered to help…. Can anyone please help these ignoramuses with information on this set? Gipsy 524076 mark, berries and wicker bright colours, excellent condition.
Thank you Martha, I like it very much and I think she is going to keep everything!! Can’t face the work in putting it on line locally, she is hopeless on the computer and can’t decide on what to wear on a daily basis let alone what china to keep 😮
I recognised a Clarice Cliff Magnolia plate and Carltonware and Pareek dinner set andJohn Maddocks stuff and…. its endless and seriously a big job so I think it is in the too hard basket so she will ship it all back to Townsville or get her hubby to drive down and collect!! What’s 2500km between partners!!! 😮
Anyway, some lovely/interesting stuff and btw, that’s not mentioning the silver….. 🙂
Oh my
Our houses are really not designed for display esp if like us you have a tropical wooden Old Queenslander house… all casements with wooden louvres beneath or floor to ceiling glass louvres, french doors ie few walls… have to restrict your collecting tendencies or buy a modern (hot) has to be airconditioned , home 😮 My husband and I have had to restrict ourselves in the china dept to a few inherited bits and pieces… too many books and other stuff anyway 😀
Thanks for your input to a mad aussie!!!
cheers
