I’m attempting to learn about Haviland Plates. Attached are pictures of a 13″ charger, rose pattern, scalloped gold edge. The rose pattern feels smooth except for a couple flowers that feel like they have raised paint edges. Is this considered a hand painted Haviland Plate or is it a transfer that paint was placed on top thus making it a fake. It has a Haviland France mark on the bottom along with a signature that appears to be “L.Mayen 1899”. Don’t really know anything about these plates so please help me learn about them. Thanks!

Thanks, Marthahill for the information. Attached is the signature and additional date mark. It’s a beautiful plate but I just wasn’t sure about the “handpainted” designation as I can only feel paint ridges on a few of the flowers. The rest are completely flat and feel like they are just covered with a glaze. Is that normal for these plates?
