Hi everyone.Found a beautiful piece at an estate sale, but having trouble finding any history on it. It was labeled as St Cloud Lion of Lucerne. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And where did you find that ?? Ashtrays were not typically used till the 20th century !! If thats what it is !! You did not give the size of the item !! So we have to guess a its use !!
Your mark does not match any early ones I found !! The St. Cloud potteries were not working after about 1766 !! Or I should say not the older one !! Faience is a tin glazed pottery similar to majolica !!
