I can’t read the words and I was wondering who made this. Drip glazed. About 4″ tall including lid. About 4-1/2″ across at widest point. To me the mark looks like a bear wearing a crown; carrying a tray of bread and carrying a sign. I’m hoping this is an easy one to identify. Thanks in advance.

I think you’re correct. Trademark would probably be on the lid and underside. Makers mark just on bottom. I wish the words were just a little clearer. Maybe then my 50 something year old eyes could read it. Cheese spread or butter is very possible because I don’t live that far from what we call “the cheddar curtain” – Wisconsin State line. One problem with the spread idea; not a single utensil mark inside. Don’t know about you, but I would be getting every last scoop out! I’m not giving up yet. I’ll check back to see if anybody comes up with an answer. And I’ll come back if I figure it out. Maybe a trip to the “Cheese Castle” just over the state line is in order for further research! Thanks again.
