I purchased a lidded jar at an auction near Boston, because I liked it. I would love to find out more about the potter/age. There is a mark on the bottom, but I haven’t been able to find it in a book on marks or online. Perhaps some kind soul knows this mark? There is some ‘surprise’ inside the lid that rattles, which I suspect was done on purpose by the potter?
