This pottery is in the home of an elderly friend whose mother acquired it years ago through an estate sale. He has two vessels, each no higher than 8-10 inches. They seem to be a glazed terracotta depicting scenes from the Bayeux tapestry (one jug says “Willelm” the other says “Harold”). There is writing on the bottom, it is difficult for me to make out the words/name but one word might be “Desyayt”?

Can you help me learn more about these pieces?

Thanks in advance!
