Received this tureen from a friend in Italy. It came with a card from the seller saying it was 1891 Wood & Sons, Staffordshire, England. Can’t make out the marking on the bottom. It looks like Leighton, but research on Wood & Sons hasn’t turned up a pattern with that name. Can anyone confirm what I have and its value ? Hi, I think your tureen is from the company Enoch Wood & Sons of the Staffordshire district in England. Earlier pieces were marked Enoch Wood & Sons and later a lot are marked Wood & Sons. Kovel’s have some in their books, The later ones if your’s is dated correctly were valued with underplate at $70.00- 80.00.
