I am including 4 photos of this old Staffordshire Spaniel dog figurine (my childhood favourite item) and wanted to identify it. It is so hard to get info via Internet so I am hoping you’d be able to help me. It is in my WordPress blog.

Bottom has a hole that is slightly smaller than the two holes at the back. And there is a mark on bottom – either IV or a poor ‘N’ (I cannot find anything matching this mark). I do recall there was another dog to match this, but I believed my mum broke it so I only have one.

Hope the photos helps. Thanks and looking forward to learn more about this figurine.

Just because they were made for the lower classes originally does not mean they are low in value today !! Now I have not researched each of those above and as you know those auctions are usually above market value !! But your spaniel would likely be in the $150.+ range This would be minimum !!
At least 1890 or before !!
