I have a large figurine whose maker I have been unable to identify. I have been told that it could be Meissen. The only marks on it are the numbers 1649 and 64, which are stamped. There is also another mark which I can’t find anywhere. Ihave attached photos. Can anyone help me?

Did you ever get more info about your figurine? I have one also with 1649 impressed on the bottom. ?

Friedrich is the expert here !! I would say do not believe everything the sellers tell you !! While the figural scene may be in the Dresden style,, its likely that it was not decorated there if it does not have one of the known marks !! ‘I hope you did not pay what the price tag is asking !!

See other thread: not Dresden, possibly not even German.

I just purchased a large figurine also. Woman playing piano, man playing violin, and whippet dog under piano.
Only markings are 1649 also and the number 2. Was told it was a Dresden. I’m searching for info also.

Its still not loading !! Check the size of your pic and make sure it is within the limits of this site !! 2MB is the maximum size so make sure it is less than that and give it plenty of time to load !!
