That’s the [i]Flambeau[/i] torch, trademark of the undocumented New York importer/distributor [i]L.D.B.&Co.[/i] who had items decorated by various companies in Limoges. These items are often dubbed “[i]Flambeau China[/i]” which is not really correct but sufficient when not wanting to bother people with the background.

The torch mark is constantly found as mark addition (on items by decoration studios like [i]Laviolette[/i], etc.) and is sometimes applied as cover-up mark which completely hides the original manufacturer mark; date range estimated around 1896 until 1920.
