So I know that this particular pattern isn’t exactly rare. However I inherited a set of china from my grandmother. My grandpa was a merchant marine in WWII and brought the set back from Japan for her. Of course over the years pieces were broken and replaced (or not) and it has be come a set mixed with royal rose. The pattern is extremely similar and they are marked though the marks don’t say which company made the set I have. Fast forward- my husband found a set that looks identical to what I already own and purchased it for me. Some of these pieces are marked and some are not. In doing some online searching I discovered that the Rosenthal German Moss Rose pattern was very similar to the set I have. Given that they aren’t marked is there any way to determine where those pieces came from? Also how can I tell which company manufactured my set from Japan?

Thanks!!
