So my Granny had the strangest items and somehow they’ve been passed down to me. I have zero use for these items and being very anti-materialism, I typically sell or donate any and every thing I can’t or won’t use. Most of her knick knacks and antiques fall into this category.

I have a piece of pottery? It has a writing on the bottom that says “COPY Hand Made Geometric Period 700 B.C.”

It has a metal medallion hooked onto it that says “MUSEUM COPY”

any thoughts? I see comparable pieces on eBay but I’m searching to know the HISTORY behind a piece like this, so I can share it with my daughter. I have been journaling about her items and want to add this to it.

I DO know that she did a lot of Missionary Work in Mexico and South America if this is helpful?

Kindest,
Meagan

Would be better to see the item but it sound like the copies sold in museum gift shops !! She may have went to see a museum exhibit and bought this as a souvenir !!
