Greetings all!
I have searched high and low, far, wide for years… and have never been able to ID this piece.

This is a Longwy type faience – the photos really do not show the texture of the piece. The pottery itself is a heavy red/brown type ceramic. The colors and detail are incredible! This was part of a set of 2 identical plates which I got about 15 years ago – I want to say this is Spanish, Portuguese or possibly French in origin… or potentially Italian… but I lean more towards Spain or France. Very rustic, yet somehow elegant…

Would LOVE to know who created this – and you are all welcome to use my photos to help others ID similar pieces as well.
Much Love – Luxe

It reads “THOUNE”, generic mark used by various potteries in and around the town of Heimberg (in Switzerland, Bern province, Thun region). Your item looks like it was made at the pottery of Mr. Johann Wanzenried.
