I have a small individual or decorative teapot and plate. It appears to have 2 marks, the RC Nippon mark from 1911 and another one that says Noritake Nippon. (see photo)
I don’t know if this is a reproduction and someone tried making it legitimate by adding the Noritake name, or if this mark would have been used at some point. Also have no idea how to tell if this is a repro or not.
The decoration appears to be hand painted as stated on the mark. There also are what appear to be a few stray faint pinkish brush marks.
The teapot measures approx. 3.75 inches across, not including the handle, and approx. 3.75 inches high including the lid. the plate measures 5 3/8 inches across.

With the help of some others and with a little more research prompted by that info, I have figured out that the blank was made by Noritake, and then it was decorated by Royal Crockery (the RC mark), probaably 1911-1914.
Any opinions as to whether it is a decorative item, an individual (single-serve) teapot or a covered creamer?
