Hello,

I got these plates a few years ago when my grandfather passed and have no idea where they were made, what company, or what they might be worth. I don’t know if I should use them for something or keep them safe and wrapped up. I would appreciate any help.

I did try there and a couple other sites, but I wasn’t able to find Kanji that matched in the Chinese or Japanese section. I may have overlooked it by accident but I’m pretty sure it isn’t there.

Did you try Gotheborg.com ? They have chinese and japanese marks on there

You’re plates are very old. That is Japanese or chinese mark, Have not fact checked myself yet. In the mean time you can look up Japan Marks or the other. The color of your plates are very collectable so do not use them. I’ll do some checking myself and get back to you and try to date them.
