I have a piece of porcelain work an impressed mark REES on the bottom of one piece. It is above the reflection on the photo of the bottom, hard to photograph. Does anyone have an idea as to who this refers to and where they were located? I found one very brief reference mentioning a Thomas Rees in Limoge, but I don’t know what his mark looks like or time period of operation.
The pieces seem heavy for their size, perhaps it is stoneware and not porcelain? Not really sure how to tell the difference.
