Good Afternoon,

My grandmother has a statue of a nude figure, arm wrapped on a lotus style flower and bottom of base is a sea scape with shells and waves. I have attached photos in the hopes someone may be able to help with identifying what it is and who the maker was. Its a beautiful piece and she is unable to remember any information related to it.

Thank you for all your help….

The mark was applied as ultra thin transfer. As is known from model toys decades later, the application can fail when the transfer flips over or tears. The result is the same as here, and the more you try to correct it, the worse it gets.

I have included a copy of the mark how it looked originally. Figure made at the factory of Ernst Wahliss, Teplitz-Turn (Bohemia), mark registered December 2nd 1896 as RWZR #20791 and used until around 1914.

Thanks for the information csmarshall! This status has been in the attic for over 50 years and no one remembers anything about it. You have given me a starting point for research and I truly appreciate it.
Thanks again ~ M
