I’ve done a little research on this vase by searching for AFS and the only thing that came up was Anna Frances Simpson and Newcomb College. It doesn’t have the Newcomb College mark on it so I’m not sure. Any info would be much appreciated!

How tall is the vase ?? You can look at the examples here !! Note the clean bottom of the NC pottery !! Your potter allowed it to run !! Your vase is likely someone working in a similar style to NC but an independent studio potter !! Just haoppened to have same initials !! Not unusual since they were on the cutting edge of pottery styles back then !! I imagine there were many items done similarly by others !!
