Hi I need some help identifying the marks and manufacture of this item. I have a huge set with all sorts of interesting pieces. This used to belong to my great grandmother and I believe she used it in the early 1900’s. There are rice bowls with lids, platters, plates and more.

Mark is not exactly the same which is not unusual but I think yours is plate 409 !!

Yes the mark is VERY similar and the time frame listed for it would make sense.

here is a picture of one of the platters. This platter has two small butterflies hand painted on it as well.

Here is what I have figured out so far. I think they are Fukagawa. The only thing I know is that they belonged to my Great Grand Mother around the turn of the Century. (1900’s) Here is another pic of the marks. not sure if you will be able to see it better.

It is a Peony Flower from what I have gathered.
