My guess is that this is about 100 years old European origin piece, but I am not sure where to ask for help. I am from Serbia and this piece is a family heritage.

Well,, I meant OK health wise since you were a bit under the weather last we spoke !! I know you stay busy with the website and I am sure we all appreciate it !!

Oh, the former [i]Villeroy & Boch[/i] factory later became that what is today simply called [i]Schramberg[/i] due to the successors name of [i]Majolikafabrik Schramberg[/i] so you are not really wrong.

Still, a certain proprietor may (or may not) influence collectability and value of an item, therefore I always point out the specific factory proprietor instead of using the generic name the factory is known under today. And in this case it also explains the initials VBS included in the mark 😉

Anyway, at the moment I am being pretty much occupied with an urgently required re-organization of my archive as the amount of images is slowly getting tricky to handle and search through. Even modern desktops have certain limitations, and a revamp of the file/folder structure helps to speed up things a lot.

At the same time I’m doing near the same to my extensive digital music collection, switching between both jobs when one gets too boring (as re-sizing and cropping tons of images is just as boring as checking and correcting tons of FLAC tags).

[quote]Embedding link does not work! This forum is a mess:([/quote]

Claiming that the forum is a mess after obviously screwing up yourself is quite a call, don’t you think? I mean, take another look at the first link you tried to include:

[code] [ url = http:// ] http://i117… [/code]

You did not correctly include the link in the matching [ url ] tags. The used [i]BBCode[/i] method has been around for well over a decade; it’s a generic forum standard nowadays. Including pictures (or linking them) works flawlessly. I assume you mixed up the use of embedded URL / IMG tags … (URL results in a link, IMG results in an included image as long as it’s not too large).

Back on-topic: manufacturer was [b]Villeroy & Boch[/b]. Your mark originates from one of their many branch factories, in this case we are talking about the facilities located in the town of [i]Schramberg[/i] (Germany, [i]Baden-Wuerttemberg[/i] region). Shown mark version was in use between 1883 and 1900.

Might be easier to go to replacements.com and search by pattern/shape number !! If they have your pattern it will also have their resale price !! What they are asking is not what it would sell for on the secondary market !! Their prices are always higher than actual selling prices but it would give you an idea of value !!
