I collect older wall pockets, mostly McCoy. I recently purchased a new one, an off-white/yellowish canary on a pastel blue cornucopia, and I’d like more info about it. It looks like it’s from the 50’s, and the shape and mold are similar to some Shawnee or Adobeware ones. It’s got no markings to indicate what company made it.

If anybody has any info on when/who/where it was made, I’d greatly appreciate it! I know it’s not worth a lot, but it’s darling, and I’m very curious to find out more. Thanks!

(I tried to upload a photo of it, but am not having any luck doing that here.)

I’m trying to help you out. I’m almost sure it is not Shawnee. With no mark it’s almost impossible. Sometimes you can narrow it down by looking at thickness of pottery on rim opening or is it shiny or matte glaze, is back shiny or dull? A good site on web is Art pottery collector group and info. They have a list that names almost every pottery co. in America, and lot’s of pictures.
