I have a vase with a round marking on the bottom which says Jesse Dean 1865. I have found this marking online, and some brief info on the artist. He once worked with Limoge who would send him their pieces to do his gold overlay work on.

He than opened his own factory in Trenton, New Jersey.

I am trying to get an estimate on the vase, or anyone who knows of this artist.

Thanks!

Hi, I found a little more info which you might already know, He worked for Lenox in Trenton N.J who in my opinion made the best dinnerware in the USA. He was a great decorator who was commission by Presidents and kings for his art designs. White House order’s is what kept Lenox from going bankrupt plus also Tiffiny’s. He opened up his own shop in Trenton with 50 employees and designed and painted pocelian and china from all over. i don’t know when this was but it has to be in early 1900rds when the white House wanted American dinnerware and Lenox did just that. The vase was probably made in his shop. I can’t give you a value without a picture but I’m sure it is worth a lot if in mint condition solely for his work with President’s, Kings and Tiffiny’s. Some of this info came from a pottry and porcelian book I have.
