I have a couple of pieces from my late mother that was given to her by her mother that is now 98. I have no idea if they are even worth anything and they have no markings. Does it mean anything when pieces have no identification markings on them?

hi, No it does’nt matter to the next generation at all, Even my own kids. Only one out of 4 maybe knows something about older items. I meet thousands of people at flea markets and if you tell them it’s Royal Copley, Hull or occupied Japan you get this LOOK and then reply ” Oh I don’t care about that or how old it is, “I just like it and think it’s pretty. The older collectors are pretty much done collecting and you hear them say “My kids don’t want my collections” and you are seeing lot’s of it now at auction houses. So getting back to your item, it might appeal to a shoe collector who does’nt have that. I’m going out on a limb here and say even with marks and 80 years old it’s value for the pair may be $15-25.00
