I know “Dresden” is probably the place this piece was made and not the maker so I was wondering if anyone can tell how old it could be and what company might have made it by the mark on the bottom. Is there an easy way to post pictures here? When I try and use the file attach it never works
TIA

I don’t think that it was crudely painted. I think it is beautiful work. Remember this came with a complete set of chinaware, plates, cups, bowls etc. all pieces had gold trim, and these worker’s barely made less than $2.00 a day. I would say it was not farmed out. I t was painted at the factory and then put back into the kiln after being painted to bake the paint on it.
