The Majolica Black Americana tobacco holder has 6809, then 34 embossed on the bottom (at, least that’s what I read). I believe the Hallmark is in black (upper right corner of picture). Does anyone know what it represents?
There would have to be a pathway where the clay is unglazed both in the container and in the bottom !! More likely moisture would evaporate before ever reached the tobacco !!
