From my 3rd Gr. Grandfather’s family, I have this tea set with 12 cups and saucers, 2 plates, Tea Pot, Cream, Sugar and Bowl.  There are no marks on bottoms except for numbers painted on pot and bowl.  The raised floral handle seems unusual and I haven’t found anything quite the same.  Help in identifying and or valuing?

Indulge me here: I know the skepticism about claims of the age of stuff! I’ve more images if anyone is interested in looking more carefully, but the lineage is very tight and this has not been in many generations. We donated tens of thousands of dollars worth my 3rdGGF personal letters and certificates and commissions to the Society of the Cincinnati in D.C, so the story is not far-fetched at all. I’ve had people say they are from 1850, but my Great Grandmother new her Great Grandparents and they passed them down. If I could be sure the family has been wrong, I’d accept it, but I’ve had no one identify this set. My mother was so fearful of touching them they are in the same crate my Great GM packed them!
