We have inherited a china service with the number 4122 handwritten in gold under all the pieces.
I have checked the Rosenthal mark underneath and it does not match what I have seen as marks prior to 1922.
The mark is enclosed in a sort of ligth greenish background, with the the word IVORY under the Rosenthal logo, inside the shield.
Under the shield hangs a sort of bead garland.
Under all of this you see a gold capital “R” with a crown on top.
Any information regarding,
1.- Is this a true Rosenthal mark?
2.- What year could it be?
Thank you,
