got this and others from an estate sale: they say it’s mid 19h cent. although I do not see anything on google to confirm this. Photos are at the link below; any info you can add to this would be very grateful.

There were several Staffordshire potteries including Crown Staffordshire !! Most will have a pottery mark on the bottom !! But the vent holes in older pottery will be the smaller ones rather than the large dime size vents seen today !! Your pic is upside down !! I can read the Napoleon and the number but can`t read the other word !! What is it ??

the previous owner listed references by author and page number for all the items in the collection. Apparently the reference is to “Pugh” and p. 233. This is my first foray into Royal Staffordshire so I hav not seen any of the reference books.

see the attachment. Sorry I am new to the site and wasnt sure how the upload worked. Further question: it seems that the older staffordshire only has the touch holes on the bottom and not a mark. Is that correct or are these replicas? thanks for any help with this.
