My Sarreguemines Majolica plates feature a backstamp Made in France, with the initials PV underneath. Does anyone know what these initials PV stand for? I believe it may refer to, P.V. Briord …or…. Portieux Vallerysthal if this helps… if I’m on the right track? I know nothing of the significance of either of these references? Thanks!
