Hello. New gal here, and I was hoping to get some help identifying this piece of pottery.

I’ve had it a very long time, and was always curious who it was made by. I tried looking at hundreds of pottery hallmarks to see if that blue mark is a hallmark….and could not find anything. So now I am thinking it is just the design.

I am not a serious collector…obviously. I just like this piece, and want to know more about it. Is it familiar to anyone out there…that you can tell me anything about it?

Thanks for any help and/or info.

Already posted to this once but it disappeared !! The color of the clay that you can see on the unglazed foot tells me it may have been made by one of the Ohio potteries !! Possibly the Zanesville area !! They were known for using the creamy yellow clays !! Don`t take that as law but that’s the place I would look first !! Can`t tell what the decoration really is !! Flower or what ?? You can see it better than I can !! Pretty sure its 40`s into early 50`s for year made !! My grandmother had several bowls of mixed types but same shape that she used occasionally but never did figure what they were for originally !!
