I have a vase with the mark Trial Nippon. I can not make out the other wording or the crest. I am in need of any information that you can provide. Thank you in advance.

Here is some history on Nippon marked porcelain !!

Yes it does !! The Morimura brothers went through several marks !! I think what happened is the older mark was overstamped with the newer one !! It happens ocassionally !! I could find nothing relating to the word “trial” but perhaps that what they were referring to !! Trial of the new mark, , some how this one got stamped with both marks !!

After expanding the picture, it is missing a couple of letters. Does the wording Imperial Nippon” sound correct?

I have attempted to take a clearer photo, I don’t know if you can expand it or not

It looks like it is WI-Hand Painted but this item appears old an is hard to see. Also, it appears that the center seal has a fish on the left side pointing down, a center symbol and another unidentifiable symbol opposite the fish. After looking at the mark under a larger magnifying glass, you can see that the ink may have dark originally due to small dark specs appearing throughout the stamp. Thanks for taking the time to help.
