We inherited several boxes of Haviland china that we know nothing about except that Theodore is underlined on the back mark and we think that makes it circa 1903.

Any help would be great!

You might also try contacting Arthur R Stees if you need any more info. He is a past president of the Haviland Collectors. He was kind enough to identify a lovely old set of ramekins and liners for me. His email is haviland at aeroinc.net . replace the “at” with an @ sign.

Cheers,

Hunter

Most of the China made in your year did not have a pattern name. It was’nt until late 1930 and 40ties that Haviland china were given names. In other words they were made up names and given the name Schleiger with a number. You can read the history of Arlene Schleiger on website Haviland on line What is a Schleiger mark? I found your pattern # in the 880 and it showed 2 different pattern names. One was Roses on Chain and the other was Floral on gold line. It takes a long time to research but I hope this helps you. So instead of looking for Haviland pattern name , look under Schleiger pattern names. Have a good day
