In liquidating the Estate of my late Mother, I discovered a Demi-tasse Coffee set which I always remember her speaking about. She brought it to Canada from England in 1953 (it was a Wedding Gift in 1950) and somehow during a move in the 1960’s; all of the saucers were mistakenly thrown out. It’s one thing I would dearly love to “complete” in her memory and have as a keepsake. It’s just 6 cups, creamer, sugar bowl and a Coffee pot, all pieces are marked… Wellington China J.H.C. & Co. England and under that it says REG. Some of the pieces have a pale green hand-painted number “11” on them and all pieces have a hand-painted red number 7625. Please see attached photos. Any help is appreciated 🙂
Ebay and replacements.com had some that would have went with it nicely by Wellington !! Had the same small yellow flower but also had one in the pattern with pink and one different with blue flowers added !! Just try to get all you need for the set at one time If possible !! Trying to find a few here and there is a pain in the backside !! Good luck !!
Thank you so much Martha for your help and info re: the painted numbers and company information. As I am also in the midst of a move; I shall just bring them with me and keep up my search online and with replacements.com. In the end I may just try to find some plain saucers and forego the headache! LOL. Thanks again. Your help is appreciated!
Wellington went out of business in 1946 !! Finding the saucers may not be easy or quick !! I checked ebay and none of this pattern are listed,, a couple were similar but had different arrangement and colors with the yellow !! If it were me I would turn this set into Replacements.com !! They have a pattern matching service and will notify you if they get the items you are looking for !! Can also list it with other china matching services !! Just search ebay every weel or so for Wellington china, JHC and see if any are listed !! Many of Wellington sets had no name and no numbers !! The 11 in green is the decorators number and does not help you !! The red 7625 is likely the pattern number !! Wish I could be of more help but some of these older sets are difficult and some are even harder to track down !! The china services are your best bet !!
