I have a luncheon/dinner plate and 12 dessert dishes. White with Floral design. The plate and the dishes are banded in embossed silver. The design looks like tiny flowers and leaves and something I cannot identify. I have always been told that they belonged to Tsar Nikolai of Russia.
The dinner plate says Saxe under a mark that looks like a crown with two crossed arrows. On the dinner plate only, there is a starlike gold emblem of some sort. The dessert dishes have the crown and arrows and say Saxe as well and they have some squiggly marks (in black) that look like numbers, but can’t say for sure.

This is a better picture of the gold seal on the plate.

Yes, you’re right. I did find that in Robert Rontgen’s book of marks.
I would like to find out what that gold emblem on the plate is.
Thank you so much.

Shown mark is one used by importer Charles Ahrenfeldt & Son from New York, here the template version used on items made at different factories from the region of Saxony in Germany between 1888 and 1910.

Thanks. I will do that.

Your pics are too small to see the mark well !! This site can handle a pic up to 2 MB in size !! Take a closer shot and increase the size !!
