Help needed to identify maker and information on how the figurines go together or were displayed. No maker marks.

Could be Japan rather than China !! Thanks Friedrich,, had no clue how they were used but was pretty sure they were florist items !!
Minimal paint decoration,, not like the Chase ?? that was posted !! Only thing I found was Chase Import-Export International based in Hong Kong !! They do business in both China and Japan and export worldwide !! As far as the Chase figurines,, there is no Chase pottery or Chase Ceramics or Chase anything that I have found so I am assuming the Chase sticker that is on their items is an import stamp and not the company that made it !!

They get a straight piece of wire poked into the holes one can see; the other end can then be poked into the soil in a flowerpot, even a cake, whatever. They are positioned in a way that makes it looks like she’s prancing towards him …

I’d say Japan, but then that’s a wild guess.

They are not new, the closest I could find were Chase hand painted figures from Japan.

Figurines

No way to know who made them but since they are new I suspect they came from China as many things do !! When I first saw them I thought florist items !! Could be either florist items or dance recital gifts or recital party favors !! Have no idea without seeing them in hand how they were used !!
